Aalii in Ward Village: Unrestricted Sales To Begin Soon!

The first increment of sales began in January 2018 for owner-occupant buyers.  The second release of sales are for unrestricted units which allows investors to now purchase units in this new development.  The online registration for the new release of residences at Aalii in Ward Village will begin on Tuesday February 27th at 10am.  Similar to how the online registration process took place with the Keauhou Place project by Stanford Carr Development, this event will require a person to go to aaliiwardvillage.com; enter your name, contact information and agent who referred you.

After entering this information your registration will be time and date stamped.  Unit selection dates will occur on a chronological basis depending upon when your registration was received.  Sales appointments will begin on March 3rd and will continue until March 11th.  After this time, all appointments will be on a first come first served basis.

Each person will be allowed to purchase one unit per appointment.  Any additional units will require a separate appointment.  You will be asked to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the Aalii sales office located at 1240 Ala Moana Blvd Honolulu, HI 96814- the IBM Building.  If a person wants to view pricing of units prior to their unit selection appointment, they are invited to arrive an hour ahead of time, and view prices on the first floor of the IBM Building.

Oahu has seen many new condominiums built in the past few years. From Kapolei, to Honolulu to Kailua, property development is widespread throughout the island. Amid the housing shortages on the island, the Howard Hughes Corporation has played an active role in developing many new properties in the Kakaako district of Oahu. So far, the Howard Hughes Corporation has completed the Waiea luxury condominium in Kakaako, and is in the process of constructing Anaha (nearing completion), Ke Kilohana, and the Ae’o condominium developments. Other Howard Hughes Corporation projects in the Kakaako area that have yet to begin construction are The Gateway Towers and the Central Plaza.

Apart from the above, the Howard Hughes Corporation is also currently planning an innovative and exciting new massive condominium development in Kakaako called the Aalii. After visiting the Aalii sales site as well as sitting through an in-depth presentation on the development, I am very enthusiastic about the prospects for this development, and the quality of life for its occupants. In this regard, the Aalii is part of The Howard Hughes Corporation’s 60-acre master plan community. This new development consists of two buildings one low rise (the, “Podium”), and one high rise (the, “Tower”). When completed, the Aalii will consist of 751 units, [of which approximately 20% may be dedicated to reserve housing]. It is within walking distance of downtown Honolulu, the Ala Moana Beach Park and the Ala Moana Mall, as well as the future Central Plaza, which is intended to be Ward Village’s center for activities, outdoor and indoor, shopping and dining. In addition, Aalii will be located close to various shops and restaurants such as Nobu’s, Piggy Smalls, Merriman’s, Scratch Kitchen, Lucy’s Lab, and more! The Aalii is part of Kakaako’s Ward Village which recently received recognition in the Wall Street Journal, as well as in the Architectural Digest, as the best master planned community in the U.S.

Building Amenities

Aalii comes from the phrase “alohilohi ke ‘a’ali’I I I ka la” which means, “A’ali’i (a flower found in Hawaii) is radiant in the sunshine.”  All aspects of the Aalii development revolve around convenience and smart living.  The Aalii showcases a fantastic array of amenities. On the highest floor (42nd floor) amenities include a rooftop fitness center, yoga studio and meeting rooms. The Aalii Pool Deck is home to an 8,000 square foot adult pool, cabanas, barbecue areas, and up to five indoor and outdoor gathering areas that are furnished with TVs, sinks and ovens. On the ground floor, there will be a dog park for occupants and their pets. The developer has made living at Aalii efficient by linking amenities to resident’s smart phones in this regard, the amenities are linked with the Aalii phone app allowing occupants to reserve certain amenities ahead of time with the touch of a button.
