What’s Affordable On Oahu?

It is evident that the cost of living in Hawaii continues to escalate for homeowners and renters, which is why affordable housing is in such high demand.  There are affordable housing developments which are facilitated by the HHFDC and HCDA, but for the purpose of this article we are defining affordable housing to mean projects which are priced at the current median sales price or below.  The median sales price for condominiums across Hawaii is about $400,000 and about $735,000 for single family homes.  Here is a chart providing you an easy to read overview of affordable housing projects currently available on Oahu.
