Hide Those Electrical Cords!
While most of us have a hard time imagining what life would be like without our iPhone, iPad, laptop, Kindle, Wii, Blu-Ray player, etc, etc, the one big downside is that each one has its own power cord, snaking out from behind the TV stand or couch, detracting from an otherwise beautiful space.
Keep those pesky cords out of sight with these creative solutions.
* Boxes and Baskets: Buy some decorative cardboard or wicker baskets and cut holes in the back of them with some heavy-duty scissors or knives to slide cords through. For under a desk, cut the entire back off a few boxes and stack them against the wall in front of the outlet or over the power strip.
* Charging Mats: Various charging pads are on the market that do away with cords altogether.
* Charging Station: A charging station fits over a standard power strip and can hold three devices at once.
* Adhesive Cord Covers: Essentially just plastic tubes with sticky back. You may only need to buy one and cut it into smaller pieces since each one is five feet long. Stick them to the back of a table leg, underneath a desk, behind the TV stand or at the base of a white wall and voila, everyone will be baffled about where all the cords have gone.
