A senior living community in Kapolei, Ilima at Leihano has been taking a long time in the works since it was first announced in 2007. An initial phase with 84 rental apartments for seniors called ‘Ilima at Leihano is under construction within 40 acre and is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
This senior community will be in the center of the ‘Second City‘. This neighborhood is located across from Kapolei Regional Park, the Kapolei public library. In this master planned city, residents can easily use pedestrian road with no hills to get to surrounding shopping, medical services as well. As part of the monthly fee, ‘Ilima will offer convenient care at transportation to the many places; For social outings to Ko Olina and regular trips to downtown Honolulu and intermediate locations, such as Pearl City for doctor appointments or other errands.
According to information we received from Kisco Senior Living, residents can customize their experience by choosing between graciously proportioned studio, one- or two-bedroom floor plans. Independent and assisted living floor plans will include private lanais, kitchenettes, and spacious living areas and bedrooms. Memory care residences are private apartments located in a specially designed household setting with large common areas connected to a secure outdoor garden.
‘Ilima at Leihano is currently accepting fully refundable priority deposits and has, thus far, secured nearly 50 reservations. The community is anticipated to open in the fall of 2015
