Kakaako skyline is being changed by distinct designed high-rises condominiums. One of these outstanding condominiums, Vida at 888 Ala Moana has started general sales. Vida is being developed by Kobayashi Group and The MacNaughton Group which currently have at least five projects in various phases of development in Honolulu. This 38-story tower was designed by Los Angeles-based Arquitectonica and Honolulu-based Ben Woo Architects.
Construction is scheduled to be finished by 2018. Amenities for the project include guest suites, movie theaters, dining rooms with a chef’s kitchen, children’s play areas, game rooms and a putting green. The most distinct feature is the elevators will take you directly into a private foyer, straight to your unit. Many developers are building luxury condominiums, but it is the first time in Hawaii. The building faces towards Diamond Head and Ala Moana Boulevard. Price range from nearly a million dollars for a 2-bedroom unit(1418~1726sf) and 3-bedroom units start at about 1.5 million. Monthly maintenance fees are expected to be about 93 cents per square foot.
